About René Zara 

A stage actor since her youth, René Zara began her screen career in 2017, securing her first and leading role in the award-winning short Namaste. Since then she has appeared in numerous film and tv projects including Gossip Girl (Max), Orion, The Dinner Party, and Letter of Truth. René produced, wrote and acted in her own award-winning film, Mrs. Osbourne (2020) for which she received multiple awards including the Best Performance Short award from the Shawna Shea Film Festival. Through her production company, Tiny Frog Productions, René is currently in post-production on her directorial debut Solitary: Notes from Isolation, due for release in 2024. Also a lifelong musician, René is a singer/songwriter and an accomplished film score composer (A Momentary Stop, Out With It, and Letter of Truth). Her choral arrangement of Imogen Heap’s song “Hide & Seek” appears in the West End/Broadway/worldwide productions of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Her upcoming appearances include a horror feature by critically-acclaimed filmmakers, The Kinnane Brothers; and a hockey drama starring Charlie Gillespie (Julie and the Phantoms) and Matt Letscher (The Flash), Shattered Ice.
